Different food in Belgium and China

          Since I lived in Belgium for 2 months I found Belgium people like eating bread as main food. It’s for breakfast or made as sandwich at lunch. I have eaten many different kinds of bread, some of them are soft and tastes nice but some are hard. And another main food is potato. Steamed potatoes, roast potatoes fried potatoes I have tried all these kinds of ways to cook the potato. My favorite is fried potatoes, French fries, actually Belgium is famous for its fries. I think we can call it Belgian fries not French fries. The most exciting part is choosing the sauce because as to me it likes there are hundreds of sauces! Belgium people also like pasta. As for meat, Belgium people like eat fish, beef and chicken sometimes also pork. There is a famous meal called Mussel & Fries. Most Belgium people like it so do I. There is another interesting I found is the difference of the time people eat three main meal every day between two countries. In Belgium people always eat breakfast at 8 or 9 am, lunch is at 1 or 2 pm and dinner is at 8 or 9 pm at night.

          Here are the differences, the main food in the north of china is pasta but in the south of china the main food is rice. As china is a big country, Chinese people can use all kinds of meat, vegetables, and fruits to make meals. So in china we don’t something typical can stands for the Chinese food. But each place has its own specialty foods, all of these foods make the diversity of Chinese cuisine. The time to eat for breakfast is 6 or 7 am, lunch is 11 or 12 at day and dinner is 6 or 7 pm at night. It’s totally different from Belgium. And different kinds of Chinese people can handle different kings of food. For example in Quzhou the place I grew up the most famous meals are stewed duck head, rabbit head and fish head. And I know Belgians prefer lighter. Through things people eat in two different countries we can see the different culture.
